Not every electronic music producer makes a great performer. Many will take the easy way out and DJ, but a true live performance is something very different. There are many choices to make, from the gear you choose to whether you want to pre-plan everything or rely more on improvisation. Things get even more complicated when you bring Eurorack into the equation.

I spoke with three performing musicians working in various genres of electronic music to find out how they approach their performances, what gear they bring, and how they incorporate other instruments into their rig.
